How to remove the "Copy of" prefix from copied files and folders?

If you're duplicating files and folders in Folgo and wish to avoid the default 'Copy of' prefix in their names, you can easily achieve this by utilizing the Search and Replace feature. This functionality allows you to modify the names of your duplicated files and folders to meet your unique naming needs, such as removing the prefix or replacing it with something else entirely.

Steps to Remove the 'Copy of' Prefix

  1. Open Folgo and navigate to the Rename files feature.
  2. Select the files or folders you've duplicated.
  3. Choose Search & Replace as your renaming option.
  4. In the search field, enter 'Copy of' and leave the replace field empty. This will remove the prefix from the names.
  5. Optionally, adjust any additional renaming options to suit your preferences.
  6. Click the RENAME button to apply the changes. A notification will be sent to your email once the process is complete.
