Remove Permission from a Spreadsheet
As an administrator, you can now manage file permissions in bulk using a spreadsheet. This feature simplifies the process of revoking access to multiple files across your organization's storage, saving time and ensuring efficient permission management.
Use Case
This method is ideal for efficiently managing permissions across multiple files when cleaning up outdated or unauthorized access. By leveraging a spreadsheet, you can handle large volumes of files without the need for manual adjustments.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
- Admin tasks: Admin tasks must be set up on Folgo.
- Administrative Access: You must have admin privileges on Folgo.
Steps to Remove Permissions Using a Spreadsheet
- Open Folgo
Access Folgo in Google Sheet on the right side, click on Admin Tasks and then click on the "Remove permissions" feature to get started.
2. Prepare the Spreadsheet
You need to fill in the spreadsheet with the following columns:
- File ID or URL: Enter the unique identifier or URL of the file.
- Owner Email: Enter the user email address of the file or folder owner
- Permission : Enter the email address of the user whose access should be revoked OR a public file/folder link ("Anyone with a link").
Initiate the Process
Before proceeding, make sure you have correctly selected the right columns. Launch the process by clicking on the “Remove X permissions”.
Once confirmed, Folgo will proceed to remove the specified permissions.
